Description
A Senior Market Data Architect/Manager is urgently required to manage vendors and IS teams to identify and resolve technical problems and complete strategic infrastructure initiatives Daily Activities: ? Provide support of the Market Data Services network and server infrastructures. ? Document environments, migration plans, and installation procedures. ? Manage internal client needs and expectations ensuring issues are identified, resolved, and escalated quickly and appropriately. ? Manage delivery and support of activities associated with all Market Data Services including Reuters, Bloomberg, Thompson, Factset, and others. ? Engineer, install, configure, and maintain the organization's Market Data Network and Server environment. ? Provide recommendations for upgrade paths for routers, servers, switches, and vendor provided circuits to improve service levels. ? Analyze problems, identify the cause of problems, and implement timely solutions.

Requirements:

? Strong experience with Market Data Services (Reuters, Bloomberg, Thompson, Factset and others) is REQUIRED (5-7 years). ? Strong management skills are required (5-7 years). ? PMP from PMI is desirable. ? Systems Architecture. ? An understanding of how to optimize technical infrastructures including server, network and firewall architectures to support the delivery of market data services. ? 7 years experience in the management and deployment of market data services. ? They must be familiar with all general aspects the following: o Understand the investment processes and the needs of investment staff. o Interfacing with Market Data Services vendors on technical issues related to the desktop and laptop applications. Abilities/knowledge in any following areas would be abundantly helpful: BMC Cisco DNS Intel IPC MS Excel MS Project MS Word PeopleSoft Performance Monitoring PERL PowerPoint Shell Script Solarisdf-tc
