THE POSITION:
The Marketing Analyst reports directly to the Vice President of Marketing and supports and enhances marketing, sales and customer relationship management strategies by utilizing databases and other information sources to perform customer and market analysis, provide reports and make recommendations to acquire, enhance and retain customer relationships. This position assists with direct marketing selection and provides program results and findings, manages customer research projects and maintains, enhances, monitors, and insures the integrity of the marketing databases.
 
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • Develops and maintains customer and market information; including customer segments, customer value, propensity to purchase and market profiles and opportunities.
  • Makes recommendations to improve and refine customer information.
  • Performs analysis, identifies opportunities/threats and makes recommendations for improving and enhancing customer performance and profitability.
  • Provides regular ad hoc reporting of customer and other information to include cross-sell, profitability, purchase behavior and retention.
  • Performs the data processing and database management necessary to support segment, campaign, profitability and other analyses.
  • Manage and/or performs customer and market research as necessary.
  • Other duties as required.
 
QUALIFICATIONS:
·        BA/BS in Marketing, Business Administration or related field.
·        Minimum of 7 years experience in marketing analysis or related discipline.
·        Thorough knowledge and experience with marketing databases; including extraction, file formats and merge/purge processes.
·        Strong technical knowledge of current direct response techniques, strategies and trends.
·        Strong PC skills and proficiency in various software applications, including Microsoft Access, Excel and Word.
·        PeopleSoft experience required.
·        Strong analytical ability, organizational skills and project management skills.
·        Proficient verbal and written communications skills.
·        Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to deal effectively with internal and external customers.
