Marketing Communications Director

SUMMARY

Oversees strategic planning, development and coordination of all marketing communications programs to promote the sale of products and further the company's sales objectives. Consults with other areas of management or business units, sales departments, and advertising agencies to leverage web marketing, trade show activity and direct marketing. Manages the preparation of sales aids, controls advertising and public relations projects, and recommends the media best suited to sell specific products or services. Interacts with vendors to produce promotional material.



Develops and implements annual marketing communications plans.
Develops overall image, branding, and corporate identity direction for company.
Manages and executes messaging and marketing communications (web, print, tradeshow and custom delivery) while coordinating with internal and external customers/vendors to support corporate branding initiatives and product/service launches.
Responsible for overall management and strategy of corporate website (internet and intranet). Responsible for coordinating content development with key functions.
Develops and directs brand strategy and management.
Oversees development, education and implementation of corporate style guide.
Develops Marketing Communication strategies, including optimization of media vehicles, mix, frequency, and timing and develops budgets and annual plans to meet business/financial objectives.
Responsible for establishing relationships and strategy with advertising agency partners ensuring annual review of quality, service and pricing.
Ensures consistency across global promotional programs.
Analyzes metrics, quantifies customer needs and impressions about current activities, and reports on their effectiveness to senior management.


Must possess strong communication skills in both written and verbal communications.
Must have proven ability to interact well with Product Management and Product Marketing teams at all levels.
Proven success managing internal and external client relationships.
Strong organizational and follow-through skills, along with attention to details.
Enthusiastic, energetic, creative individual with a proven ability to multi-task and work under pressure. Must be a self starter and possess the ability to work without a lot of supervision.


EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

BA/BS degree in communications, marketing, business or a related discipline or equivalent education and experience. An MBA and/or advanced degree is preferred.
Minimum of 10 years in Marketing and/or Marketing Communications.
