MARKETING AND PRODUCT MANAGER: Marketing and Product Manager
Founded in 2007 and located in Houston, TX we are a
a venture-backed, development-stage medical device company with its first
product currently in clinical trials. It is engaged in the development and
commercialization of a product-line of appliances that accelerate the boneremodeling
process and therefore reduce the duration required to complete
orthodontic treatment with braces.
The MARKETING AND PRODUCT MANAGER position is a newly created position. The Manager will work closely with company contract engineering firm and will directly manage the industrial design partner. Will focus on two key areas: Product Management(85%), Monitoring (15%). PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT: Device development development, market creation, and launch. Inclusive of the following: Pricing Strategy, Product line strategy/innovation roadmap, promotion and advertising strategy, segmentation of market and targeting. MONITORING-Active oversight of dental school/private practice clinical trials for the first six to twelve months post-hire. This activity will eventually end after aproximately twelve months. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Lead development of Generation 2 device for commerical launch. Design and assist in execution of test market launches to incorporate fast-failure-lessons learned into larger launches. Develop lifecycle support strategy for Generation 2 to support device once in market. Create product line strategy and roadmap for post-Generation 2. Develop and implment new product development commercialization process: ensure process integrates clinical affairs and all marketing and customer care functions. Build budgets and conduct NPV analysis to contribute to annual forecasting and periodic re-forecasting. Ensure that new product development plans are aligned with all marketing related initiatives; work with sales team once established, to provide input to forecasting and liaison with manufacturing. Field market research as input to develop pricing strategy and channel strategy (orthodontists vs. non-orthodontist for example) Provide input to branding initiatives and the development of advertising
and promotion materials.Monitor and review clinical data forms at up to six private practice clinical sites; training will be provided. Approximately two to three days of travel per site will be required over a six to twelve month period.
