CDI has an exciting opportunity waiting for you! We are looking for exceptional people! We have an immediate need for a Marketing Specialist.

Controls and Automation experience understanding; will not code; but have to know the process and how it works to make recommendations, Need a EE degree, need instrumentation experience, need experience at customer plants, need to know how customers make energy, need to have strong communications skills both verbal and written

additional engineering degrees will be considered
Professional Experience: minimum 10 years. Strong preference that this experience be from the Electric Power industry, and more directly with Distributed Control Systems.
Required Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proposal development, for Electrical, Instrumentation and Controls solutions. Business Acumen.
Specific Position Title: Instrumentation and Controls Marketing Specialist- Proposal Engineering

Roles/Responsibilities: Customer-specific (Electric Power Industry) proposal generation including managing the proposal process; scoping equipment and installation requirements, creating cost calculations, walking down the plant with subcontractors, and developing the proposal for the customer. Provide technical support to the sales team, during the selling-cycle for assigned proposals.

Additional Responsibilities may include:
* Leading other team members through the proposal process.
* Creating and maintaining standards (ie: scope definition, cost calculations and proposal
formatting) and interaction with the Operations, Product Line and Engineering organizations
toward creating each standard.
* Participating in quality improvement initiatives.

Applicants must have:
* Application knowledge of Instrumentation and Controls used in Power Plant applications.
* Experience with the installation of I+C products at Power Plants;
* Ability to travel to and provide Walk-Down services at customer sites in North America
* Specific experience in creating proposals and negotiating internally / externally;
* Strong team orientation and drive to produce high quality results within the time required.df-tc
