Job Title: Preventive Maintenance Technician

Location: Boston, MA

Description This position will perform preventive maintenance on Bio-medical equipment in hospitals, clinics and major medical facilities, throughout the assigned area. These devices use computer technology and are often network attached. The Preventive Maintenance Tech will follow a specific set of instructions to run a diagnostic program, make minor mechanical adjustments and thoroughly clean the internal and external surfaces of the device.

The client will provide on the job training and telephone support to the Preventive Maintenance Techs as required.

Scheduled Hours:
Some standby coverage may be required

Travel: Local travel throughout the service area.

Benefits: This is a temporary position without benefits. No guaranty of permanent employment is made at this time. Travel expense such as parking and the business use of the personal vehicle will be reimbursed according to the company guidelines.

Experience/Skills
Candidates should have prior service experience, including PC technology. Must be skilled in the use of basic hand tools and able to follow detailed work instructions. Excellent communications skills are required to work with hospital employees and managers effectively. A+ certification or equivalent is required. The candidate must pass a criminal background check and drug screening prior to employment. This position also requires the Preventive Maintenance Tech to provide his / her own vehicle for local business travel and he/she must demonstrate a safe driving record. A Department of Motor Vehicles history will be reviewed as part of the hiring process, and the candidate must have a valid driver's license and be bondable.
