Medical (Professional) Marketing - The candidate will own the development and implementation of marketing programs that promote Pharmaceutical's over-the-counter (OTC) products to health care professionals. The candidate will manage the external marketing agency, partners and vendors engaged in professional promotions. The candidate will advise the internal OTC consumer brand groups on the value of professional marketing in their businesses and provide strategic and tactical plans.

Key responsibilities for the candidate include:
Providing recommendations and expertise around opportunities to grow brand awareness, healthcare professional product recommendations, and product sales through professional promotions
Lead role in developing short and long-term professional marketing strategy
Assessing performance analytics on marketing program activities, identification of opportunities and development areas to enable on-going optimization and innovation for professional marketing programs
Managing the day-to-day activities of professional agencies
Leading the creative development process with the agency, securing copy clearance approval for promotional materials, and ensuring production and implementation of professional program materials is on time and within budget
Managing the development and implementation of direct mail campaigns
Managing the professional budget (samples, product literature, agency services and creative development, etc.)
Maintaining relationships with managed care organizations and managed care program partners for OTC programs, participating in contract term sheet negotiations, and facilitating contract review and approval
Developing strong relationships with various cross-functional areas, including Consumer Brand Marketing, Medical Affairs, Regulatory Affairs, Trademark, and Legal to build and establish support for professional brand strategies and programs

Position requires:
Strong interpersonal skills and good facility in working with and managing cross-functional teams
Detail oriented, excellent planning skills, proven experience managing budgets and projects
Solid quantitative and analytical ability
Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills including strong presentation skills

Healthcare marketing experience in promoting over-the-counter (OTC) products to healthcare professionals preferred. Experience marketing Rx products to healthcare professionals required at a minimum. Must have a Bachelors degree. MBA preferred. The ideal candidate has held a medical (professional) marketing manager/senior manager position promoting OTC's to health care professionals for an OTC division of a pharmaceutical company. This medical (professional) marketing manager/senior manager position is responsible for the promotion of over-the-counter (OTC) products to healthcare professionals. Marketers from the consumer packaged goods (CPG) or device industry are not suitable for this role. Marketers who have only promoted Rx products will be considered but are not ideal. Must have a Bachelors degree. MBA preferred. The ideal candidate has held a medical (professional) marketing manager/senior manager position promoting OTC's to health care professionals for an OTC division of a pharmaceutical company.
