Our client is currently working with Robert Half Technology to interview candidates for a contract to full-time opportunity as a
Microsoft Messaging and Collaboration Senior Consultant for the
Northeast/Southeast regions. The key focus of the Microsoft Messaging and Collaboration Senior Consultant will include but is not limited to:

  • Assessing, architecting, designing, planning, and implementing complex Microsoft technology solutions covering Active Directory, messaging, collaboration and deployment for enterprise environments.
  • Providing deep subject matter expertise regarding the following: 1.) Across Microsoft related solutions areas including directories, e-mail, messaging, collaboration, high-availability systems and systems management; 2.) For related integration points such as e-mail archiving, SAN/NAS, and backup and recovery; 3.) In related solutions such as Server Consolidation and Business Continuity; and 4.) In migration methods and tools and operational management of large environments.
  • Acting as technical lead for complex solutions and provide broad and deep subject matter expertise in related technologies including directories, server provisioning and management, application delivery, and general best practices related to x86 computing.
  • Presenting technical findings to customers ranging from technical audiences to business managers.
  • Directly interacting with clients, account managers and solution architects to identify, develop, and obtain complete information for solutions.
  • Mentoring consultants and serve as escalation point for technical related project issues.
  • Contributing and developing best practices, strategies, methodologies and documentation/templates suitable for use by other consultants.
  • Achieving high level of Customer Satisfaction on all consulting engagements by executing to achieve client project expectations set by technical leads and project managers and develop strong customer relationships and trust to secure future business.





Experience/Skills
We are looking for a Microsoft Messaging and Collaboration Senior Consultant with 3 or more years consulting experience for a consulting firm, value added reseller, managed services provider or other firm providing technology solutions to end user organizations. In addition candidates to be considered for this role should possess the following:

  • Experience designing, planning, and implementing complex Microsoft solutions for customers.
  • In depth system engineering experience involving server and storage technologies and services solutions at an enterprise level for Information Technology solutions.
  • Experience managing and troubleshooting complex and large scale virtualized computing environments.
  • Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) certification and at least one of the following: Citrix CCA or Citrix Certified Enterprise Administrator (CCEA) or VMware VCP certifications.
  • Ability to travel up to 50%-60% nationwide.
  • Ability to work with wide variety of client staff including management and technical staff.
  • Resourceful working with disparate client and internal departments to deliver meaningful solutions.
  • Demonstrated consulting expertise in mid sized and Fortune 1000 customer environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to implement and troubleshoot Hardware and Software systems and configurations without procedural guidance.
  • B.S. or B.A. in a technical discipline preferred.
