One of the leading telecom companies in the Cleveland, OH area has an immediate need for a full time Microsoft Systems Support.

The candidate will be supporting the technical infrastructure and software installations that support Real time Service systems. He/she will install, configure, and maintain hardware and software components as well as ensure that the availability of the supported environment meets negotiated service level agreements.

Required:
. 5-7 years of related experience developing/designing, programming, and supporting software
. Strong working knowledge of software applications, software development life cycle, and computer code/programming languages
. Experience should include distributed environments and may include some mainframe environments.
. Strong technical aptitude and a working knowledge of all areas in an IT environment, with the technical capability to use standard computer interfaces, operating system components, utilities, production schedulers, scripting programming languages, application programming languages, and large system environment hardware components (i.e., CPU, disk, and tape technologies)
. Experience with various scripting languages including C# script, vbs, and Nant
. Awareness of system instrumentation and performance counters
. Experience supporting MS SQL Server 2000 and 2005 environments and queries
. Experience with test harnesses and performing risk based testing of application and vendor software
. Good interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with others


Preferred:
. Experience could include some mainframe environment.
. REXX, Skywire/Docucorp software installations
. Experience supporting source code repositories such as VSS and PVCS would be beneficial as well as use of utility programs like Sysinternals utilities (psexec, psservice etc. ) , Filemon, etc
. Experience with stress / capacity testing professional tools like Mercury products (Loadrunner etc.) is useful
