Description
We are looking for an experienced Product Engineer. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the following:

** Technical management of new products
** Early in the design process work with product engineering, design engineering and operation to design for manufacturability to release new products quickly.
** Develop bills of materials.
** Help create and optimize existing manufacturing procedures, assembly drawings and work instructions.
** Monitoring of existing products

* Identify and implement cost reduction opportunities such as new technology, automation, outsourcing, process reduction/improvements, platform changes etc.
* Interface with test engineering, materials, sales, and quality to ensure product goals are met.
* Standardize, write and maintain manufacturing and test procedures/instructions.
* Manage engineering change orders and Maintain bills of materials.
* Provide support for ongoing manufacturing activities.
* Develop and drive initiatives aimed at improvements to productivity and first-pass yield.
* Primary interface to suppliers and contract manufacturers
* Resolve any technical or schedule issues in a timely manner.
* Train contract manufacturer personnel on assembly techniques.

Skills, Experience and Personal Characteristics
* BSEE/BSME with minimum of 4 years demonstrated experience in manufacturing and test processes and methodologies improvements resulting in increased efficiency and cost reductions. In addition, must have successfully taken operations into volume production.

The candidate will work with product engineering, design engineering and operation defining the design specifications, architecture, manufacturability and testability for various RF designs. Familiarity with RF designs, testing, and manufacturing processes is a must. The successful candidate will have solid product management knowledge, a process orientation, and good knowledge of electronics manufacturing.

Inherent in this position will be the need to respond to day-to-day problems in areas of the development, design, testing or production and troubleshoot these problems as they relate to company procedures and customer requirements.

We are looking for someone who enjoys responsibility and accountability. The candidate shall be comfortable working independently and in team environments. Have excellent verbal and written communications skills.
