COBOL PROGRAMMER

CONTRACT: Contractual role: 6 months (With possibility of longer term)

SUMMARY: Our client-large who is a large IT Defense Integrator is seeking a strong Cobol Programmer with experience in Web technology and system development lifecycle, database/web development using one of the following codes (ASP, SOA, and XML).

REQUIREMENTS:

MUST HAVE -at a minimum, an active Secret Clearance required for immediate consideration.

MUST HAVE 5-6 years of current development experience with high transaction-volume systems.

MUST HAVE Design, Analysis, Development, Testing, Review of new and existing applications of FSS19 at GSA/FAS using Cobol74/85, WFl, MCP Utilities, DMSII Utilities. Required when necessary to attend Change Control Board meetings and interaction with client management.

Requirements and Education: Bachelor's Degree, 6 years of experience developing on A Series/Clearpath/Libra environments; of which at least 3-years must be in application programming and Cobol74/85 development. This will be including sound experience using DMSII databases, WFL and relevant System/DMSII Utilities. Solid knowledge of Extensions to Cobol74/85 is a must.

Working knowledge of UML is a plus.
