Mid & Senior Level Web DevelopersWashington, D.C.Aa global communication consulting firm, is seeking mid and senior level Web Developers to develop Web-based applications within a fast-paced agency environment. Web Developers work with project teams, interactive strategists, other Web Developers and external 3rd party agencies to create interactive solutions for client initiatives. Developers work with project requirements and technical specifications to develop, maintain and update web based applications. (Senior Developers are also responsible for working with clients and project staff to gather project requirements and develop technical specifications.) These positions provide the opportunity to build, test, debug and troubleshoot interactive deliverables and scripts for a wide range of project types including Web sites, Web-based applications and interactive online tools. Candidates must be able to work as part of a close-knit, international cross-functional project team with both technical and non-technical team members. Excellent communication, problem-solving and organizational skills are required as is extreme attention to detail and a high level of accountability and responsibility.Technical experience requirements include:Strong JavaScript, HTML and CSS skills 3+ years developing Web based applications 2+ years experience developing with each of the following software packages: Coldfusion and/or PHP Database design, development and programming in MS SQL 2000/2005 a plus Moderate Internet IT experience with server related skills including domain management, IIS, SSL, Database management (SQL Server and MySQL), PHP Experience with 3rd party COTS applications (wiki, CMS, CRM) applications a plus XML experience a plus Experience working with a global development team is a plus Senior Web Developer candidates must exceed all of the above requirements and also have:4+ years acting as a senior developer or technical project lead Experience developing requirements documentation and technical project plans; unit testing and version control experience Experience mentoring junior staff Experience working with vendors and freelancers a plus Consulting and/or Agency Experience:Client services or agency experience a plus Software/Programs:Cold Fusion MX (6+) PHP 4+ Windows 2003 / IIS6+ SQL Server 2000+ Macromedia Studio (Macromedia Dreamweaver) or other coding tool Other Skills/Experience:df-tc
