*It is aplus for any mainframe back-round in addition to the midrange platform working knowledge

The position Does not do:

Operating System or Network installation. Normally does not work directly with the client.
Software.
Procurement.
Leasing.
Desktop issues
Backup and recovery.
BIOS/Firmware unless emergency.
Asset management system duties.

**Exposure to the following a huge plus:
ISO20000 and related processes.
Peregrine Service Center Software
CAD management tools for facilities tracking
Shifts: 12 hour shifts rotating days 7AM-7PM ET, the third position is 7PM-7AM ET also rotating days.



*Managing issues that arise in regards to Wintel, HP Unix, AIX and Sun platforms.

The position performs or schedules:

*Installation, connectivity, modification and all physical changes for all midrange platforms.
*Management of an inventory database for hardware tracking.
*Interfaces with customers and customer representatives on hardware work projections, problems or issues.
*Generally prioritizes customer duties related to situations, the first priority is keeping the hardware running.
*Manages raised floor space and perform power requests to Facilities groups.
*Maintains invoice system login and codes invoices to proper cost center for customer hardware..
