Description
We are seeking a Mortgage Underwriting Business Analyst
Business Analyst to closely collaborate with our team and client, to assess their application needs, requirements, trainings, and delivery. Candidate will operate professionally under minimum supervision. This role also requires someone who can think strategically and innovatively, yet pragmatically deliver timely business documentation.

* Research customer problems through analysis.
* Gain knowledge of the company*s business practices and direction, as well as familiarity with the company*s services
* Develop gap analysis and requirements documents, including business process diagrams, swim lane diagrams, data flow diagrams and other logic flowcharting.
* Develop Impact Analysis documentation.
* Develop Risk Analysis documentation.
* Develop end-user requirements documentation.
* Develop block diagrams, user charts, logic flowcharts, data flowcharts, and other diagrams in order to communicate the needs of the departments and to create a clear written explanation of the need.
* Recommend system solutions and participate in software design and review meetings
* Ensure all requirements documents are created for all newly developed or modified systems
* Act as liaison between project team and users on scope issues
* Assist in the development of project plans and deadlines
* Meet project deadlines
* Maintain technology expertise, keeping current with evolving system analysis, programming and database technologies.
* Must communicate effectively in both written and verbal setting.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION & REQUIREMENTS

* Degree in Education and Graduate Degree in Information Management Systems.
* 5+ years experience as a business analyst in a mortgage environment.
* Able to lead moderately complex system design activities that may require extensive research and analysis.
* Comfortable using MS Project, Visio, MS Office and other diagramming and project management tools, along with experience in PC/Microsoft and/or Unix development tools.
* Able to communicate technology at a level appropriate to the audience.
* Excellent communication, writing and editing skills commensurate for this type of position, including proficient with oral and written reports and presentations.
* Experience with conducting interviews with clients, establishing and maintaining effective business relationships.
* Technical knowledge spanning: basic programming, system analysis, programming languages, data communication and transaction based processing, system development methodologies, system development methodologies.
