Description
Robert Half Technology is currently seeking a Senior DBA with extensive PostgreSQL and / or MySQL experience. The ideal candidate will have extensive in data design and administration for high performance and high availability. In addition, any experience with disaster recovery, Hardware administration, DB maintenance and optimization, Linux admin skills and scripting experience (bash, perl, python etc.) is strongly considered a plus. The ideal candidate will collaborate with various businesses to create a schema and rdbms implementation. Our client's environment will be open source RDBMS running on linux.The ideal candidate will be responsible for:- Database Architecture- Database Design- Database Administration / Maintenance- Database Development of a large-scale database environment.The ideal candidate must have: - 5+ years of experience as DBA - Extensive experience with MySQL or Postgres 8.x - Design, implement, and operate high availability production and development databases. - Logical and Physical Data Modeling. - Knowledge of Linux and scripting languages (perl/bash/python etc.) - Strong communication and collaboration skillsFor immediate consideration, please apply.
