NOC Technician

Duties:

• Monitor network for Voice and IP infrastructure
• Provide remote support for troubleshooting issues
• IP security isolation and mitigation
• Interface with customers to resolve issues
• Collect and log information
• Resolve trouble tickets

Requirements:

• 10 years experience as communications technician
• Ability to perform T1 trouble isolation
• Working knowledge of voice communications including local and long distance traffic flows for both switched and dedicated access
• Working knowledge of data circuit types including MPLS, VoIP and integrated service
• Working knowledge of Turin networks of other DACS (DSC, Tellabs, Alcatel)
• Should have knowledge of Cisco, Lucent and Adtran equipment
• PRI, BRI and Voice grade services competency
• Solid knowledge of voice, data testing and ISP networks
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
