Description
* Monitor the production environments, including servers, network equipment, databases and software applications with the ability to respond to monitoring alerts
* Assist in day-to-day operations of data centers and support of remote sites
* Maintain system run-books, procedures, escalations lists, contact and system configuration information
* Ensure up to date and accurate monitoring on all systems
* Candidates will need experience in resolving issues/providing level 1 support
* Candidates wil be groomed within a 12-18 month period to be promoted to the UNIX, Windows or other newtwork administration teams, so they will need to have administration skills

Experience/Skills
* 3+ years experience working in a 24x7 operations center environment supporting mission critical applications
* 5 years experience with Unix, Linux, Windows 2000 server, Windows XP operating systems
* 3+ years experience with HP OPenview
* Knowledge of networking and CISCO Works network management tools a plus
* Excellent organizational , multi-tasking, prioritizing and teamwork skills
* Any Linux experience a plus
* BA/BS degree or equivalent in computer science
* Any certifications a plus
