Naval Supply Officer/Program Manager

CDI is seeking a Program Manager/Subject Matter Expert (SME) with US Navy shipboard operational as a as a Naval Supply Officer or a Senior/Master Chief Storekeeper. Work will be focused on ship maintenance and on ship material condition readiness reporting and development of R-supply in the .net environment. Work will also include the review of shipboard equipment maintenance and logistics issues and understand their impact on shipboard operations and the type of repair necessary to restore the equipment to an operational condition. The candidate will assist in program office support in NAVSEA and USFF. Work will also include the ability to make simple business cases to show how the solutions will provide payback within a predetermine budget period. The ideal candidate will have some experience in understanding all issues relating to overall material readiness of surface and submarine platforms. This is a full time position in Washington, D.C. or Norfolk VA. It will involve some travel (~20% of the time) within the United States. This position is available for immediate fill.

The ideal candidate must have the following qualifications:

. Bachelors Degree in the area of Engineering/Information technology/Business
. 5 + years experience in shipboard operations
. Have been qualified as a Navy Supply Officer or a Navy Storekeeper (E-8 or E9)
. Knowledgeable in the US Navy Financial systems
. Hold or obtain a government security clearance for work within the Department of Defense
. A hard charger who gets things done according to project timelines
. Have experience in personnel management and customer relations and able to adapt to rapidly changing requirements with short notice deadlines.
. Be proficient in Microsoft Office


The following qualifications are a plus
. Have a knowledge of .NET programming
. Be familiar with the Navy's Maintenance Figure of Merit (MFOM) Program
. Be familiar with Fleet Modernization policies.
. Be familiar with the Naval Sea Systems Command Organization and Business Plans
. Experience at NAVSEA 05/04 , Fleet Forces Command or OPNAV a plus
. Have experience in personnel management and customer relations and able to adapt to rapidly changing requirements with short notice deadlines.
. Be familiar with government financial management policies
. Knowledge of the PBBS process
. Have experience in managing large organizations focused on specific missions
. Have experience managing government contracts
. Proven maintenance management experience
