Description

Aids in the planning and implementation of projects in the areas of LAN connectivity, integration, data security, performance, support, and training. May also be responsible for voice and data services on various platforms.

• Proficient skills in trouble shooting, interpreting, analyzing and implementing improvements to various network issues.
• Effective organization and prioritization skills.

• Completes projects in a timely manner.
• Supports a 24/7 global business operation as required.
• Demonstrates discretion, confidentiality, independent judgment, and professionalism when representing the company.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, as well as, presentation skills.

• Able to travel up to 20% of the time, including day, overnight and international travel as required.
• Participates in a continuous improvement activity with complete documentation including a follow up review with the team in a presentation format.

Requirements

• A 4 year computer related degree and 2+ years experience supporting Windows Backend Servers and desktop clients.
• Evaluates LAN software and hardware connectivity, integration, data security, and performance.
• Assists with designs and programs for Software applications.
• Provides support of Windows Back End services (Includes email, DNS, DHCP, etc ) and Network Hardware.
• Supports and trains end users.
 • Installs/Tests hardware & software standards.
• Performs software maintenance including upgrades, configuration changes, and patches.
• Assists in maintaining backups & backup procedures.
• Supports LAN performance analysis and forecasting.
• Manages data including archival/removal of outdated/unused files.
• Works with Facilities Department on office and equipment moves.
• May assist in working with external customers relative to installing customer networks.
• Manages VPN access, pagers, cabling and connectors installation.
• Implements the company data security policy.
• Coordinates the evaluation, recommendation, and procurement for hardware and software.
• Maintains software maintenance contracts for engineering.
• Supports engineering's client software and hardware.
