Description
Robert Half Technology has an opportunity in the Grand Blanc area for a part time network administrator/desktop support. Typical duties will include supporting 30 end users with network and internet connectivity issues, printer support, bad power supply etc in a Windows 2000/2003, XP environment. In addition, candidate will build and deploy PCs, load software, set up phones and faxes at 15 remote client sites. Typical problems include dealing with novice users, anti virus installations and solving hard drive problems. It is a 2 server Windows 2003 environment and troubleshooting SONIC firewall issues. Experience/Skills
We are seeking qualified Network Administrator/ Desktop Support Professionals with technical certifications at the A+, and MCP levels. The client has a POS machine at each remote location, therefore knowledge of a POS system is required. Candidates will also have 3+ years of Networking & Desktop Support experience in a Windows XP/ 2003/ ADS environment. The ability to work well independently with end users with little or no knowledge of PCs is a requirement. This is initially a 25-30 hour a week position turning into a full time permanent position.
