Sets up, configures, and supports internal and/or external networks. Develops and maintains all systems, applications, security, and network configurations. Troubleshoots network performance issues and creates and maintains a disaster recovery plan. Recommends upgrades, patches, and new applications and equipment. Assists in the development and maintenance of network communications. Uses knowledge of LAN/WAN systems to help design and install internal and external networks. Tests and evaluates network systems to eliminate problems and make improvements.Provides technical support and guidance to users. May require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty and 0-2 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision. Additional Description: Design, configure, and implement Cisco-based network equipment Provide documentation as required including Visio diagrams, Inventory, and IP management spreadsheets and others as required Troubleshoot installation issues to resolve design and operational problems Ensure the continuous availability of all data network services Complex problem solving abilities with experience in performing root cause analysis Extensive knowledge of network security management and authentication Willingness and ability to teach and train others A team player with good verbal and written communication skills 24 X 7 availability for emergency escalations Participate in ''On Call'' rotation
Candidate must live within 30 minutes drive time of this location. Candidate must possess strong communications and strong technical ability. Candidate must have configured a enterprise level Router within the last 2 years. Candidate must be able to self-manage and work with remote team. This position is 8 AM to 5 PM, Monday Friday w/an on-call rotation.
