Description
The Network Administrator performs a variety of network related tasks in support of IT services related to the operation, performance and availability of data services and communication. The Network Administrator monitors server performance and recommends adjustments to server parameters in addition to monitoring application services for reliability. Administers network messaging functions and reliability. Performs enterprise backups, recovery, and coordination of off-site tape storage. Troubleshoots network/user problems and recommends corrective actions as necessary. JOB DUTIES: Installing, supporting, and maintaining essential network services and tools. Maintenance and administration of Active Directory and related services. Monitor and maintains Storage Area Network (SAN), essential application services, servers and related peripherals. Ensures operability and security of applications and end-user data. Conducts basic network maintenance and troubleshooting in LAN and WAN environments. Installation and administration of remote access including Citrix Server Farm and VPNs. Ensures essential network resources are properly updated and improved. Establishing and maintaining network documentation including statistics, metrics, and reporting Installation, supporting, and maintaining of all messaging functions and reliability in an Exchange environment. Creating and updating network documents to include Standard Operating Procedures. Network related projects including installing, supporting, and maintaining Windows NT 2000/2003 infrastructure and applications servers. Ensure reliable backups and restorations are performed; related documents are updated or created as required, monitoring and reporting.df-tc

Experience/Skills
Windows Server 2003, Active Directory, SAN Storage, Automotive Industry preferred
