Description
Adecco Engineering and Technical, a division of the world leader in the recruitment of engineering and information technology professionals, has an immediate opening for a Network Administrator for a 4 month contract opportunity with one of the leading Healthcare Suppliers in Tucson, Arizona.

Responsible for the design, planning, implementation, and administration of the systems infrastructure at MSC. Participates in a team environment that provides cost-effective IT services. Works closely with other areas of IT to maintain a cohesive IT environment. The Network Administrator's role is to ensure the stable operation of the in-house computer network. This includes planning, developing, installing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all network hardware, software, and communication links.

Responsibilities:
Provides second-level end user support
Documents Infrastructure design and configuration
Documents physical and logical maps of the infrastructure
Defines standards and procedures in relation to the infrastructure and its devices
Ensures security is maintained on the network systems and software patches are applied appropriately
Evaluates vendor products and services to ensure a solid hardware and software platform
for the infrastructure
Measures performance of the systems and takes appropriate actions to ensure maximum uptime and performance
Performs on-site and remote technical support
Assists in the organization and inventory of all hardware and software resources
Maintains excellent communication with the IT Manager on all tasks and projects
Plans and implements equipment refreshes
Designs, implements, and tests portions of the company's disaster recovery processes
Monitor Internet usage of internal employees
Performs administrative tasks such as updating work orders, updating knowledgebase, providing status reports, etc.
Improves personal and professional technical knowledge and expertise
Effectively manages himself or herself to meet or exceed established performance goals
Perform internal and external security audits on a regular basis

Requirements:
4+ years of Microsoft Operating systems and Active Directory
6+ years of working in a LAN/WAN environment
2+ years of VMWare experience
4+ years with Cisco Routers, Switches and Firewalls
3+ years of working with server and SAN equipment
4+ years of working with Microsoft Server Applications (Exchange, SQL, MOM, etc.)
Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or related field preferred
CCNA or CCNE preferred
