Description: Please refer to MM1061 when responding...Thanks! Network Administrator Primary Job Responsibilities: Manage LAN, WAN and VoIP. Provide technical recommendation for network services performance and reliability improvements. Special Skills or Knowledge Required: Can plan, install, configure and operate large and complex IP LAN and WAN networks, using state of the art technologies. Can implement LAN networks using advanced, mission critical architecture. This position requires an advanced knowledge in BGP, OSPF, VRRP, VLANs, Ethernet, TCP/IP, Switching technologies, Spanning Tree, QoS and Multicast. Security: Develop methodology and processes to secure networks with firewalls, Application firewalls, IDS and VPN. Develops Authorization, Authentication and Accounting practices. Develops Computer Emergency Response practices and procedures; oversees and resolves complex security incidents. Executes risk assessments, intrusion detection and penetration tests, gap analyses, and develop risk mitigation plans with costs and trade-offs. Voice: Ability to manage large scale SCCP/SIP voice platform including but not limited to voicemail, Conference calls, hard and soft phones. Ability to define and implement a QoS strategy. Architecture: Recommends and develops mission critical solutions; makes recommendations to address capacity constraints, performance limitation on wide range of technologies. Strong working knowledge of wireless networking technologies and solutions. Strong knowledge of VoIP network architecture and operation. Working knowledge of the configuration and operation of application load balancing appliances. Network equipment: Must have experience with the following devices: Cisco routers/switches and Checkpoint firewalls. Experience with the following a plus: Cisco Unified Communications Manager, F5 Firepass, Cisco ASA and Foundry ServerIron. Inter-personal and communication skills: capable of writing proposals or papers, acting as a supplier liaison, makes presentations to customers or clients audiences or professional peers, and interacts. Act as a technological lead to others. Project management: Ability to provide a thorough planning approach to large scale project. Ability to define physical and logical resources needed to complete a project and meet deadlines. Education/Experience: BS/BA in computer science or certification from an accredited school and 5+ years experience.df-tc
