Description
As the data network architect, the incumbent is responsible for the overall Layer 2 & 3 network design in support of the clients multiple data centers and business applications. As such, this position reviews client service requests for design impacts, recommends and implements design changes that improve routing and bandwidth efficiency, insures adherence to traffic latency tolerances, reviews and briefs the client and lifecycle team on emerging technologies and its application in the clients infrastructure, provides Tier 3 support for difficult service issues, and collaborates with COE engineering team in setting device-level configurations and options. This position requires a high-degree of experience and certification levels across a broad array of technologies and vendors including Cisco, Avaya, Big IP, CheckPoint, Microsoft, and others, as well as, security management, application management, LAN/WAN management, VoIP management, and tool management.
