Required General Skills:

Hands on technical project manager capable of coordinating the implementation of voice communication projects as well as performing technical implementation work.

Ability to perform business analysis of telecommunication problems for all company locations and generate requirements definitions.

Ability to identify telecommunication solutions for business requirements. Capability to communicate project schedule and status to companies customers and management staff.

Ability to develop, recommend and implement productivity improvements and process improvements between the Communications and Network Services group, internal customers, and external suppliers.

Ability to prepare and submit reports and analysis of project status, design documents, supplier performance, customer feedback, and project documentation. Capability to control project expenses in order to remain within budgeted levels, including direction of vendor technical and sales resources.


Required Technical Skills:

Develop and recommend technical voice communications equipment and network solutions for companies locations in conjunction with other appropriate company groups.

Ability to generate tactical implementation schedules covering company network facilities nationwide.

Develop technical reviews and provide project implementation responsibilities for voice communications related technology projects and services.

Thorough knowledge of all technologies and project management processes available in the marketplace pertaining to voice communications via publication, vendor contacts and technical courses and seminars.

Knowledge of basic PC skills, including Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Project.

B.S. in Information Systems Management, Engineering, Business or related discipline is preferred.

3 to 6 years of technical experience in telecommunications equipment and voice network communications.


Hands on experience with several of the following technologies:
Avaya (Merlin, Magix, G3, S8700) and Nortel (SL-100, Options 11 thru 81) PBX
Dial Plan configurations, ARS, NARS, BARS, Vector designs, Avaya AUDIX voice mail systems
Call center systems including Avaya CMS
Wireless technology deployments (two-way radio, micro-cellular, wireless PBX)
Call accounting systems, IVR technology, Cable plant design and implementation


Desired Technical Skills:

Ability to develop voice communications strategies, which will increase reliability and security.

Capability to communicate effectively at executive management levels

Knowledge of advanced PC skills.

Telecommunications equipment and voice network communications and project management experience in excess of 6 years.


Description of Project
The MIS Manager - Telecommunications Design & Implementation will assign various voice communications projects. Examples of projects include coordination of telephone and voice mail system implementation, upgrades and moves. Projects may also include implementation of network facilities and wiring infrastructure.df-tc
