Description
We are looking for an individual who can thrive in a challenging and rewarding environment.This person will help in the design, implementation, troubleshooting, analysis and maintenance of telecommunications and network environments, LANs and WANs. Coworker, customer and business interaction is an essential part of the position.

BS, BA or CCNA is desired but not required with experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Configure, test and maintain infrastructure related systems and services
Identify, diagnose and resolve network problems
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation to be used within the organization as a whole
Administration of business communication applications, email, web filtering and similar applications
Daily maintenance and problem resolution, system/firmware updates, software upgrades and routine hardware configuration
Interface with other departments for requirements gathering, testing and validation of company communications
Participate in a 24x7 on-call
Assist when required with off site IT support

TRAVEL REQUIREMENT:
Ability to travel 10% of the timedf-tc


Experience/Skills
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Hands on experience implementing and administering network devices, as well as implementing best practice methods for security and general setup.

Must have 4+ years of networking/telecommunications experience to include but not limited to:

Configure, Support and Maintain Cisco routers, switches, firewalls and SSL/VPN
Troubleshoot IP Protocols in an ISP or Enterprise Environment
Network Security
Network Management platforms such as, MRTG, Cacti, OpManager and similar
Working Knowledge or Hands on experience with Load Balancing
Telephony , PBX and VOIP
Strong in LAN and WAN protocols
Understanding of OSI model, Ethernet and TCP/IP networking
Experienced in common services, including DNS, DHCP, HTTP, FTP, SSH, SMTP, NTP etc.

Microsoft Exchange 2007
Websense
Linux/Unix Systems
Citrix XP and Presentation versions
Windows 2000/2003 Active Directory
HP and IBM hardware platforms

Demonstrated level of competence including:

Ability to determine root cause of problems/failures and differentiate between problems such as hardware layer or software layer
Ability to prioritize and multitask
Willingness to learn new technologies and maintain industry knowledge
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to lift, carry and move system and components
Able to obtain a Secret Security Clearance
Ability to provide recommendations to peers and management regarding appropriate use and/or implementation of technology
Ability to implement and/or follow standards
