Full Time, Permanent

A SmartSource client that is a Leading Systems Integrator serving the mid-Atlantic region for over 37 years, is expanding its Network Services operation and is seeking Network Engineer. As an important representative of the Network Services Department in the client environment, the Network Engineer plays a prominent role in managing the client relationship.

Working with the Account Manager to meet all of the IT needs of the client, this critical position requires a skilled engineer who is eager to learn new technologies, possesses outstanding communications and organizational skills, and who understands that customer service goes far beyond the delivery of technical skills.

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:

Basic Requirements:

1. Perform installations, upgrades, and migration projects with Microsoft, Citrix, and other commercial off the shelf products for client base.
2. Design and architect solutions.
3. Participate in pre-sales consultations and assist in the creation of proposals as needed.
4. Perform troubleshooting and problem resolution as required.

Qualifications:

1. A+
2. MCSE (Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer)
3. 3 years of technical experience
4. Experience with Exchange and Active Directory
5. TCP/IP Networking Skills

Preferred Skills:

1. Net+
2. Virtualization Technology
3. Cisco Networking experience (Routers/Switches)
4. Juniper Product experience (Firewall/Security)

Other skills:

1. Strong written and verbal communication skills
2. Ability to work independently or with a team
3. Time/project management skills
4. High level of integrity and honesty
5. Self motivated
