74476 Are you an experienced, Level 2 Network Engineer looking for an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic multi-platform environment? Our client is looking for the right individual to work on a 3 month project with a solid opportunity to join the firm full time upon completion.

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Maintain operation of I.T. systems and resources; administer and maintain user accounts, group policy objects (GPOs), security, servers and other network components; run scheduled jobs and perform periodic maintenance; monitor and maintain systems performance; document configurations; maintain an organized, stable and secure computing environment. Test, implement and maintain the standard desktop OS and application images for distribution.

- Provide expert support of the global I.T. security infrastructure. Investigate, propose, and implement security tools that provide a more robust, and proactive security environment.

- Analyze, propose and implement new hardware/software systems, applications, or upgrades that provide better network/resource management, user functionality, reliability, and system efficiency.

- Provide 2nd tier technical support for all installed systems and applications; diagnose, identify and resolve problems.

- Report on problems, developments, issues, and activities related to systems in the environment; enforce and abide by corporate standards, policies, and procedures.

- Participate in establishing standards, negotiating purchases and agreements, selecting products, services, or vendors.

- Other duties or projects as directed to maintain or improve computer/telephony systems
Qualifications and Experience:

- Expert knowledge at a Network Engineers level, specifically of Windows server infrastructure. Solid Active Directory, IIS and SMS knowledge is required. Minimum of two years.

- Expert knowledge at a Network Engineers level of Unix and Linux is preferred. Minimum of two years.

- Strong knowledge of security principles, monitoring, and response systems as they relate to WAN/LAN/Internet infrastructure. Experience with a wide range of firewall technologies, and security tools a plus.

- Working knowledge of networking equipment is required.

- Knowledge of SANS, specifically EMC and iSCSI platforms is a very strong plus.

- Experience with Dell and IBM servers preferred.

- VMWare Virtual Center / ESX server experience a plus.

- Bachelors degree or equivalent industry experience preferred.

- Good interpersonal skills required for working effectively with staff at all levels in the company, and with outside vendors, consultants, and business partners. Should have good oral and written communications skills.

- Good organizational skills, ability to juggle multiple, simultaneous projects and complete assignments on time. Ability to work independently without supervision, and to work as a member of a project team.
