Description

The Network Engineer is responsible for engineering, implementing, securing, and supporting the production network infrastructure for CMC. This position may also work as a project manager with CMC vendors and clients. Qualified candidates must have a combination of previous Cisco admin experience working with routers, switches, Cisco PIX firewalls, and Cisco VPN concentrators. Experience with Cisco MARS is also a plus. This position will report to the Vice President of Information Technology.



Responsibilities:




  • Architect and maintain the network infrastructure




    • Network Design with multiple sites



    • Device Implementation and administration



    • Network Monitoring and Troubleshooting



  • Multiple Device administration




    • Cisco Devices — Router, Switch, Firewalls and IDS



    • Cisco MARS



    • DMZ, WAN/LAN, ACS

Experience/Skills

  • BS degree or equivalent experience.

  • 5+ years technical business experience.

  • 5+ years process development, support and implementation of systems architecture

  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills required. Strong documentation is a must.

  • Must be a self-starter and able to work in a team environment.

  • Must be able to recommend modifications and configurations that will reduce cost and provide improved service.

  • Extensive experience with Cisco routers.

  • Experience with Cisco PIX firewalls and IPSEC VPN tunnels.

  • Experience in capturing and analyzing sniffer traces and packet captures.

  • Familiarity with vulnerability scanning procedures and toolsets for audit/compliance reviews.

  • Manage security of WAN.

  • Install, troubleshoot and upgrade switch and router operating systems.

  • Provide 24/7 support in an on-call rotation.

  • Perform other duties as needed, and as directed by supervisor.
