CDI has an exciting opportunity waiting for you! We are looking for exceptional people! We have an immediate need for a Network Engineer.

Position Description:
The Layer 3 Planning section has an opening for Network Engineer. This position has global and end to end network design and planning responsibilities. The network is growing in complexity and importance because of new web based and mission critical applications. The candidate needs to understand the network connections used in the data center to connect servers, the routers and switches used to intelligently pass the information, the limitations and advantages of the transport used to carry the information until it finally reaches the end-user on their desktop. The planner will also have operational roles of approving change controls assuring adherence to Layer 3 standards. The individual will also engage in the planning and allocation of Global IP addressing. There are also some circumstances in which the planner will be responsible for implementation of the Layer 3 changes.

Skills Required:
Position Qualifications: Knowledge of basic IP protocols essential. Knowledge of multiple routing protocols is required (OSPF BGP EIGRP). Knowledge of Cisco IOS COS and multicast needed. Background with Ethernet (10 100 1000) and Cisco switching technology required. . Experience in other LAN topologies, including Token Ring, and FDDI beneficial. Experience with WAN transport technologies, including private line, Frame Relay, SONET, and cell based switching, metro and wide area Ethernet services desirable. Strong project management skills, interpersonal skills, and communication skills required. . Highly motivated self starter. Strong desire to learn desired leadership behaviors: Integrity, Does the Right Thing, Courage and Drive for Results.

Other Information: One or more Cisco Certifications are highly desirable (CCNA, CCNP, CCDA or CCDP). . Familiarity with QoS architectures and standards. .
