Description
Our Client is looking for a Network Engineer with 8 years of experience.
This position is located in Plano, 6 month contract with a Fortune 100 company.

Ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
- 8 or more years as a Network Engineer
- Cisco routers and switches,
- F5 load balancers
- Cisco CSM.
- International networking and security infrastructure implementation and support.
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent industry experience
- Desired skill- VOIP
- Desired- Cisco CSM
- Worked & be very familiar with MPLS technology and its implementation.


Primary responsibilities include:

50% design and configuration, 30% determining business needs (meeting with business partners, strategy discussion, etc), and 20% troubleshooting
( 3rd and 4th level escalation or enterprise wide outages).

Must have advanced hands on ability and knowledge of network infrastructure including TCP/IP, routing, switching, load balancing, etc, along with network security including IDS, firewalls, VPN, encryption, ACLs, and proxy services.

Essential Qualifications/Skills:
- Ability to understand and interpret interaction between the network and software applications at all layers of the OSI model; use these skills in troubleshooting and isolating network and application issues.

- Expert in packet capture analysis

- Ability to communicate professionally and effectively to all levels of the corporation

- Broad and advanced experience with LAN and WAN protocols and technologies, circuit providers, circuit provisioning, routers, layer 3 LAN switches, firewalls, load balancers and network performance analysis tools in a large-scale corporate environment.

- Document and diagram the environment.

- Advanced experience with connectivity solutions such as point to point, frame relay, MPLS, dark fiber, various metro solutions, optical, microwave, POTS lines, PRI, BRI, ISDN, etc.

Support Function

Technical environmental support includes, but not limited to: Cisco voice solutions, Checkpoint firewalls, wireless access points, F5 Load Balancers, VPN, TACACS, and Network Observer analysis tools.

Requires being on call on a rotating schedule. Most maintenance is performed during off-hours and weekends/night and active participation is required.
