CDI has an exciting opportunity waiting for you! We are looking for exceptional people to help us grow! We are looking for a Network Engineering Practitioner.
Position Description:
Responsible for the logical and physical design of LANs using the latest approved technologies. Consult with LAN center of excellence (COE), LAN Review board, Network Engineering, and Global Design Review board to ensure implementations meet or exceed Company networking standards. Interface with systems business management, plant IT managers, and site managers to determine project scope and timing requirements. Act as Project Manager for major TCS (Telecommunications Services) and corporate initiatives responsible for overall project plans, and status reporting. Provide high-level technical support to on site and central operations/support personnel. Coordinate the efforts of multiple activities to develop and implement standard designs, support processes, and strategies. Responsible for the overall design of the LAN as well as submission of necessary change controls to implement approved designs.
Skills Required:
Extensive knowledge of Cisco IOS is required. Extensive knowledge of Cisco L2 / L3 switching technologies required. In depth knowledge of Ethernet (10/100/1000) Switching required. Knowledge of basic networking and IP protocols. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of applications, Microsoft Project and Visio required. Strong project management skills, interpersonal skills, and communication skills required.
Skills Preferred:
Should be able to work well with customers in all business areas, reporting project status to management, and prioritizing workload. Working knowledge of WLAN technologies a plus.

The successful candidate will be capable of working in a fast paced team oriented environment and possess the ability to communicate highly technical, oral and written, information effectively to technical and non technical personnel.
Education Required:
Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications or related technical field. Equivalent experience will be considered. 3-5 years of related industry experience desired.
Education Preferred:
One or more Cisco Certifications or equivalent experience is highly desirable (CCNA, CCNP, CCDA, CCDP or CCIE). Other technical certifications (e.g. RCDD, PMI) a plus.df-tc
