Description
Our client is looking to expand its team and hire additional technicians within their Network Operations Center in a 7x24, 365 day operation.

This is an entry Level position to monitor Nortel and Lucent switch platforms, CDMA/TDMA cellular systems, Tekelec STP, associated microwave systems, data network elements, private branch exchanges, and transmission network elements for alarm indications. The technician will identify, acknowledge, and document alarm indications received at the surveillance panel.

Responsibilities will include: monitor cellular equipment utilizing network management tools, monitor circuits to the cell site equipment, advise cellular technicians and network field engineers when alarm conditions exist or service may be required.


Experience/Skills
  • Associate Degree in Electronics or related Technical discipline preferred.
  • High school diploma required.
  • 1-2 years experience in cellular or related telecommunications field and/or two years of related technical training required.
  • Prior relevant positions include switching systems, technical and field engineers, technical controller, ground radio, wideband or microwave technicians.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Unix operating systems.

    Other desired skills:
  • Associate Degree in Electronics or related Technical discipline preferred.
  • High school diploma required.
  • 1-2 years experience in cellular or related telecommunications field and/or two years of related technical training required.
