Job Description
Our Duluth, GA client is seeking a Network Operations Engineer for a full time, direct hire position.
The candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing and monitoring preventative measures to deliver maximum IT reliability and performance to clients. Network Operations Engineers apply their knowledge and experience to develop, document and deploy new monitors, scripts and alerts that improve or automate internal support processes. Additionally, Candidates provide "Tier 3" help desk and field support to clients and employees. Like all Full time members of our Client Services team, Network Operations Engineers are typically on rotation for "on call" services after hours.
Design and deploy event monitors and alerts
Monitor IT system reports and logs
Indentify trouble issues and predictive trends
Develop and document mitigation processes
Develop, document and test alerts
Develop, document and test self-healing scripts
Develop and test other automated processes
Provide onsite support as needed
Act as escalation point for support tickets
Qualifications:
4-year college degree (IT relevance preferred)
5+ years IT support experience
1-2 years VB Script and automation experience
MCITP: (1) Desktop + (1) Server (current)
MCITP: SQL or Exchange (current)
