Description
Trasys, LLC, recently ranked #165 on the INC 500 list of fast growing private companies, is seeking a strong on-site Network Engineer for ongoing operations support in Denver, CO.

This resource will provide on-site IT engineering operational network, server, and security system support for a contract period of time. At present this will require support of the following technologies:

- Windows NT/2000 Server
- Checkpoint Firewall-1 Next Generation and 4.1
- Cisco routers and switches
- Nokia firewall appliances
- Unix (HPUX, Solaris, Linux)
- Compaq/HP hardware

Job Description:

General
- Electronic weekly reports of significant issues/progress
- Adherence to ESO work processes and procedures
- Provide first lever server/network hardware support
- Coordinate/direct suppliers to repair network/server equipment
- Maintain associated diagrams, configurations, and process documentation

Data Management
- Manage backup/restoration process including on/off site rotation
- Manage media repository and check-in/out process
- Monitor and manage space available on Windows and Unix servers

Networking
- Maintain local and remote firewall policies
- Configure, monitor, and manage 3rd party customer/vendor connections (VPN, ISDN based)
- Manage network router configurations: static routing, access control lists, IOS levels
- Manage network switch configurations: VLANs, IOS levels
- Administer and maintain core network services including DNS, WINS, DHCP

Server Management
- Add/remove Unix/Windows users, groups, & file permissions
- Server lifecycle management (installation, repair, replace, retire)
- Deploy required virus updates
- Provide timely installation of required patches as requested by client
- Maintain SW/HW inventory
- Implement and maintain single authentication model (e.g. NIS/LDAP)
- Support public and customer facing Internet servers
- Maintain Nagios Health Monitoring System configuration
