Description
Responsibilities

  • Manage a secure Firewall, VPN and Intrusion Detection and Prevention infrastructure across all internal and external business connectivity requirements under the direction of senior network technical leadership.
  • Conduct day-to-day network problem resolution in a timely fashion across the organization, including but not limited to Service Desk, Application Development, and Business communities with an emphasis towards the Firewall, VPN and Intrusion Detection and Prevention infrastructure.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize network availability and performance to reduce overall business expenses with an emphasis towards the Firewall, VPN, and Intrusion Detection and Prevention infrastructure.
  • Provide weekend and after-hours on-call support on a rotating basis with an emphasis towards the Firewall, VPN, and Intrusion Detection and Prevention infrastructure.
  • Participate on additional network infrastructure assignments as directed by Network Services leadership.


    Requirements

  • 4+ years experience with design, engineering, and troubleshooting firewall, VPN, and Intrusion Detection and Prevention environments.
  • Experience with specific data network technologies including Cisco routers and switches, and Juniper NetScreen firewalls and intrusion detection and prevention devices, as well as Sidewinder firewalls.
  • Cisco networking certification is a plus.
  • NetScreen firewall certification is a plus.
  • Netscreen Security Manager (NSM) knowledge is a plus.
  • Experience with Windows 2003 and Active Directory.
  • Excellent customer communication skills.
  • Experience in the Securities industry is a plus.df-tc
