Qualitek Services has a 6 month+ contract opening for a Network Planning Engineer in the Melbourne / Palm Bay, FL area.RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide technical support for all the Federal Aviation Administration Telecommunication Infrastructure (FTI) network services. Support requires physical layer and routed technologies experience. The engineer must be able to analyze, monitor and resolve.

Requirements:

REQUIRED SKILLS: The ability to employ various test methods used to remotely analyze fractional Enterprise Data networks, including fractional T1, T1, fractional T3, T3, Ethernet, IP and Remote Access. Expertise in remote maintenance and repair of the following network equipment is also preferred: Cisco, NetBoss Eastern Research, and APC.Knowledge of network management systems (CiscoWorks or similar software), experience in UNIX, and Remote Access solutions is a plus. They will resolve problems using internal and external groups as needed to correct trouble on the FTI network and interact with the customer. This position is part of a 24x7 network control environment. Shift and workday flexibility is required.
