A very well known network systems integration company has a very exciting opportunity for a Network Security Consultant in Southern California or in the Phoenix area. The salary being offered is $150k depending on experience and certifications. Responsibilities include developing comprehensive security solutions in mission critical environments which consists of large-scale network design utilizing enterprise caliber routing, switching, firewall, network IDS, VPN and other network security technologies. Must have experience working with NAC, preferably Cisco NAC along with MARS, and Core Security. This individual will be developing customer-centric security solutions, develop documentation for the technical designs and also lead the integration of hard and software solutions. CISSP certification preferred but not required. Strong understanding of security control design and implementation in enterprise and ecommerce environments. A minimum of 4 years experience in the design and deployment of technical security controls such as firewalls from Cisco, Check Point, Network IDS's from ISS, Tipping Point or Cisco, Host Intrusion Detection Solutions, VPN Solutions from Cisco, Aventail or F5 and End point security solutions. Must have a good understand of encryption technologies, network monitoring and maintenance, and experience with vulnerability scanning procedures.
