Description
Modis is currently seeking an Information Assurance Security Engineer for an exciting contract opportunity with our client in the Austin, TX area.

This position is expected to commence immediately and last for an initial duration of 12 months. There is a very high likelihood of contract extension.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Information Assurance Security Engineer will be working in a team environment to provide support in the areas of Network/Application Security, vulnerability scanning, forensic analysis, penetration testing and incident response.

Candidates must have a minimum of 7 years IT experience with demonstrated experience in penetration testing, vulnerability scanning and web/application security.

Key Tools: Appscan, eEye Retina, Nessus, Snort, Wireshark, Ethereal, Nmap, Kiwi, Nikto, Webinspect, SPI Dynamics, ISS RealSecure, Cisco Secure IDS, Netforensics, Intellitactics, ArcSight

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

- Minimum 4 year Bachelors Degree with 7-10 years experience in a related IT field
- Core expertise in network/application forensics, vulnerability analysis, penetration testing, incident response and overall security analysis
- Strong background in data/IP network security (Firewalls, IDS, IPS, Security Information Management/Threat Management Platforms)
- Broad knowledge/hands on experience with security tools (Appscan, eEye Retina, Nessus, Snort, Wireshark, Ethereal, Nmap, Kiwi, Nikto, Webinspect, SPI Dynamics, ISS RealSecure, Cisco Secure IDS, Netforensics, Intellitactics, ArcSight)


PREFERRED BACKGROUND

- CISSP Certification preferred
- CCNA, CCNP or CCSP Certifications preferred
- Certified Ethical Hacker Certification preferred
- Experience with HIPAA, FISMA and National Institute of Standards & Technology (NIST) Preferred
