We are currently looking for an individual for a contract to perm opportunity as a Network Security Engineer to rovide engineering solutions, system administrative support, and strategic advisement for the Information Security Infrastructure.

These efforts include design, deployment, maintenance, and operations of the security systems infrastructure and analysis, reporting, and response to the information collected by those systems.

Experience/Skills
Individual wil be responsible for:

1. Design, deploy, test, and operate network based information security systems to address key security capabilities such as vulnerability assessment, network and host based intrusion detection and prevention, security management, network and web traffic filtering and monitoring, network mapping, etc.

2. Perform system and application administration functions of information security systems, including systems integration.

3. Develop, analyze, and represent scheduled and ad hoc reports and make recommendations based on the data from various sources.

4. Provide vulnerability mitigation recommendations and support to appropriate organizations.

5. Develop and maintain security system documentation.

6. Research, evaluate, and implement network security-related technologies, processes, and policies.

7. Aid in the development and execution of the security incident response procedures and business continuity plan.

8. Assist in development and maintenance of security awareness education and training for users of information resources.

QUALIFICATIONS:

This position requires a Bachelor=E2=80=99s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field. The equivalent combination of education, training and/or information security certification or directly related technical experience may be combined in lieu of degree requirement. Technical requirements include:


three or more years experience in network security, network engineering, and/or system administration,

strong technical background in IT security and an in-depth understanding of network architecture and protocols,

strong administrative experience with Microsoft, Solaris, and Linux operating systems, including script development,

strong communication (written, oral, and presentation) and interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate effectively on technical issues with non-technical personnel,

demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and across organizational boundaries.
