Perot Systems Corporation is a worldwide provider of information technology services and business solutions to a broad range of clients. We are currently looking for a Network Security Specialist to join our team in Plano, TX.

* Travel might be required for issues at domestic locations. Travel is very sporadic for this position, but the candidate must have the ability to travel to U.S. locations to respond to technical issues.*

Job Responsibilities:
This position will involve daily maintenance and operations of the leveraged firewall service infrastructure. You will be working primary with Checkpoint and Cisco firewall products in order to help design, confirm, determine and/or troubleshoot firewall traffic flows. Network Security Services include daily maintenance and operations of multiple customers’ firewall and network security infrastructure. Primarily work with Checkpoint, and Cisco firewall products in order to design, confirm, determine and/or troubleshoot firewall traffic flows. Additional responsibilities include maintaining accurate documentation of firewall and network security support activities and processes. This person must have good time management skills to properly manage operations duties and other task that will assist in the optimization of the firewall team. Candidate will be required to work independently and remotely when troubleshooting, ability to solve problems with minimal client input and ability to escalate when solution is not readily apparent.


Required Skills:
  • 3 + years of Network troubleshooting experience
  • At least one certification from Checkpoint, or Cisco is required and multiple are a plus (CCSA, CCSE, CCNA, CCSP?.)
  • 2 + years Network firewall administration and design
  • Must have in depth experience with Checkpoint version R55 or higher on Linux or Unix based platforms.
  • Experience with Cisco should be PIX 6.x or later.
  • Must have excellent customer interaction skills and experience.

    Desired Skills:
  • Experience with Provider-1 is a plus.
  • Experience with Cisco routers and switches is a plus.
  • Check Point Security Administrator (CCSA) or Checkpoint Certified Security Expert (CCSE).
  • Current Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or Cisco Certified Design Associate (CCDA) or Equivalent Industry Proficiency is a plus.

    Minimum Educational Requirements:
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience

    Minimum Certifications or Other Professional Credentials:
  • At least one certification from Checkpoint, or Cisco is required and multiple are a plus (CCSA, CCSE, CCNA, CCSP?.)
