Description
This includes installing, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all network hardware, software, and communication links. The Network Administrator will also analyze and resolve end user hardware and software computer problems in a timely and accurate fashion. End user training on new technology and corporate initiatives as they relate to the network may be required.Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties will be assigned as required.- Install and manage company servers, including e-mail, print, and storage area network devices and their associated software.- Monitor and manage network security such as intrusion detection/prevention systems, Internet content filtering, and firewall activity.- Install and manage all network printing.- Prepare and maintain documentation of network configuration and cabling layouts.- Management of TCP/IP network including maintenance of static IP lists and DHCP scope requirements.- Ensure/Troubleshoot network connectivity of all workstations and network connected devices (printers, VoIP phones, etc.)- Administer required upgrades and/or patches to servers and to a lesser extent, network devices.- Train end users on appropriate use, network security, and disaster recovery policies and procedures.- Practice network asset management, including maintenance of network component inventory and related documentation and technical specifications information.- Administer and maintain end user accounts, permissions, and access rights.- Administer and maintain e-mail groups and e-mail public folders.- Oversee system backups and recovery processes.

Experience/Skills
Knowledge and Skill Requirements- Knowledge of a broad range of computer networking systems Microsoft Windows Server, Exchange Server.- Knowledge of Microsoft Windows Active Directory domain environment is a must.- Basic knowledge of Cisco network equipment to include routers, switches, and firewalls.- Knowledge of Microsoft Exchange 2007 and related e-mail technologies.- Knowledge of RightFax network faxing.- Knowledge of Microsoft Windows XP and Vista desktop operating systems.Education and/or ExperienceAssociates or bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related discipline is desirable but not required. Must possess necessary skill levels in related network analysis and management tolls, computer hardware and operating software.
