DESCRIPTION:
The position requires a very strong technical professional specializing in network security, Firewalls and security technologies, performance tuning, packet decodes and analysis.

The position is part of the Web Hosting Operations Tier III group responsible for managing complex problem escalations, performance tuning and capacity planning. The candidate as part of the Tier III team also has responsibility for providing detailed design concepts in response to operational deficiencies, client satisfaction results and system reliability. Candidate will be responsible for defining and implementing operational standards and guidelines for the management and maintenance of large scale Firewall architecture.

This position directly interfaces with external clients and is highly visible. This position is responsible for designing and deployment of the Back End management network through the use of secure tunnels, Frame Relay and layer 3 networking. The position is involves complex problem engagements, interfacing with customers, vendors and developers, performance tuning, and development of ad-hoc tools to aid in identifying trends and isolating problems during times of critical need.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 7 years IT or Computer Science Degree or equivalent technical certification or experience
  • Routers Cisco/Foundry, Expert Desired
  • Switching Cisco/Foundry, Expert Desired
  • Routing protocols, Intermediate Required
  • Citrix Netscalers, Intermediate Required
  • Load Balancers -Cisco/Foundry/Nortel, Intermediate Desired
  • Juniper Routers, Entry Level Desired
  • Firewall Experience Checkpoint/Pix, Intermediate Desired
  • Technical Leadership, Expert Desired
  • Project Management Skills, Intermediate Desired
  • Protocol Analysis, Intermediate Desired
