Description
Desktop Image - Design, configuration,
testing and implementation
Responsiblilities include:
* Research and implementation of standard desktop solutions
* Repackage and customize core workstation images
* Provide and maintain written documentation on installation, configuration and support procedures

Skills:
* Expertise is problem-solving, troubleshooting, developing technical
solutions
* Proven experience in technical knowledge in the Windows XP, Windows 2000, Novell NetWare and NT-based network operating systems.
* Familiarity and experience with application packaging concepts, particularly in the area of MSI packaging and management
*Must have experience working with Exchange (preferably 2003), Active Directory, and SMS


1. Providing general, in depth SMS best practice methodologies, education, and knowledge transfer.
2. Providing assistance in preparing SMS for network inventory, analysis, and reporting.
3. Assisting with the use of SMS to conduct an inventory of desktops in a pilot group and across the enterprise.
4. Assisting in the generation and analysis of SMS reports following the inventory of programs on the desktops.
5. Assisting in the use of SMS to deploy Office 2003 to those desktops that presently have the Microsoft Windows XP Professional Operating System installed.
6. Providing network support and services assistance.

One role will be SMS - the other role will be an active directory/exchange person.df-tc
