Description
Robert Half Technology has partnered with an growing company in need of a Senior Systems Engineer. Our client seeks a Systems Engineer for day-to-day desktop support, verification and application of service packs, administration support of the Windows Server network such as adding users, setting resource permissions, backing up data etc. You will assist in installation, maintenance, upgrades, long-range requirements, and operational guidelines of the corporate network (servers and workstations), in addition to supporting both in-house and remote users. As a Systems Engineer, you must be able to learn to identify, install, configure and debug all Windows operating systems and server components without assistance. In addition, the Systems Engineer will be responsible for configuration and support of their Cisco routers and switches as well as LAN/WAN support. Further duties include documentation and maintenance of standard IT operating procedures. The Systems Engineer must have excellent written and verbal communication skills in addition to superior diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.

This position requires 5+ years experience of design, implementation and support within a Windows environment 2000/2003 Server, TCP/IP, LAN/WAN technologies, Exchange 2007, SQL 200x, Sharepoint 2007. Must have working knowledge of Symantec Antivirus Server, Symantec IM Manager, and Symantec Ghost. Working knowledge of Blackberry Enterprise Server, EMC Clarion SAN Technology, VMWare, and ESX Server. MCSE & CCNP or equivalent technical certifications are highly desirable.
