Description
This is an entry to mid level Network Tech position. The ideal candidate will have experience with backups, including resolving errors in BackupExec logs, managing the tape library, changing daily tapes and maintaining an inventory of tapes. Experience monitoring network devices using WhatsUp Gold software, including configuration, maintenance, and daily review of status and alerts is required. You must have experience with Active Directory (adds, moves, changes etc.) and with troubleshooting server errors and computer software/hardware questions from end users. This role will also require you to install PC and server software /hardware components, including RAM and motherboards. Image laptops and troubleshoot PDA installation issues and document network changes in procedures and tech support in TrackIt database.

Experience/Skills
2+ years experience working directly with servers in a Windows network environment. BA or BS in computer science or MCSE or technical certifications in progress preferred. Knowledge of Windows Server 2003 and 2005 and advanced knowledge of Windows XP and Office XP (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook). You must have a high level of commitment to customer service, strong interpersonal skills; good written and oral communications skills. HP Blade server experience preferred and must be able to move and assemble computers and peripherals (lifting up to 40 pounds).
