Requirements:

General Purpose of the Position: Create automated Tools Command Language (Tcl) test scripts used to verify and validate application and embedded software for the management of and operation of the company's gigabit and 10 gigabit Ethernet-based networking equipment. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: ? Consults with development SQA manager in understanding current requirements of any given release ? Follow all WWP SQA processes for creating test plans and end of test reports ? Review Product Requirements and Functional Specification document to assist in creating Test Plans ? Write Test Plans against valid requirements and create manual test cases that can be turned into automated scripts to be used for regression testing ? Execute Test Cases, validate results and capture artifacts ? Create Defect reports when necessary and follow the Defect Report process ? Validate Defects and capture Artifacts to prove pass or fails Must provide daily status on all assignments SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED: ? Knowledge of test standards, processes and procedures. ? Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. ? Uses skills as a seasoned, experienced professional with a full understanding of industry practices and company policies and procedures. ? Experienced in Layer 2 and 3 protocols such as IGMP, LACP, RSTP, OSPF. MPLS, VPLS, SNMP, QoS, ? Experienced in Layer 2 and 3 security requirements using OAM, Secure Shell, Discretionary Access Control, Identification and Authentication, and Auditing ? Understanding of Network Management Tools
