PURPOSE OF POSITION
Design, development, and deployment responsibilities for globally scalable and repeatable Voice solutions, consisting of IPT Convergence engineering, Voice Messaging, and Contact Center technologies.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead engineering efforts to develop and deploy a new global standard for Voice Messaging. Design a consolidated and integrated Voice Messaging model, utilizing a converged IP network with failover capabilities.

Provide solutions engineering expertise for specific site implementations on a broad range of IPT, Voice/Unified Messaging, and Contact Center applications.

Provide Contact Center subject matter expertise specifically related to skills-based routing, computer telephony integration, integration with CRM applications, agent monitoring, and scheduling/forecasting tools.

Lead the engineering and deployment efforts to replace disparate, standalone Voice Mail platforms to a new consolidated Voice/Unified Messaging platform in a converged environment,

Demonstrate technical writing capabilities by creating all related design, deployment, and qualification documentation for the above mentioned technologies.

Provide input and review of technical design documentation for related technologies. Implement and apply standard design to the specifics, set forth by the given locations.

Review project plan and provide input for As Is through the To Be implementation, including review of the initial design, transition/implementation, acceptance criteria, and bill of materials.

Execute test plans, create procedures and test/verify operational processes and procedures to ensure production readiness. Execute qualification documentation and plan production pilot by interacting with various groups within and outside of IT.

Conduct proof of concepts in a state-of-the-art lab. Conduct lab activities to include data analysis, interoperability testing, error types and quality metrics, regression testing, stress testing, load testing, system testing procedures, test tools, unit and functionality testing procedures, version control, and build, rebuild procedures.

SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITY
This position will require strong interpersonal skills and require interaction between various departments (Security, Deployment, Operations, Global Services) and external vendors. Strong technical writing skills are also a requirement for the large amount of required documentation.

Job requires 10% travel and the willingness to work beyond normal business hours to complete project tasks on-time and ahead of schedule.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION
10+ years IT experience with enterprise level technology infrastructure engineering, A minimum of 5 years focused on IP Telephony engineering and design, Voice Messaging, and Contact Center applications.

EXPERIENCE
Extensive engineering and operational experience with PBX systems and how they interface with data networks. Must be knowledgeable in the areas of IP Telephony migrations, LAN and WAN routing protocols, Voice Messaging, and Contact Center applications.

Proven technical writing experience.

Experience with creating total cost of ownership and ROI models for products.

Proven technical competency with subject area technologies.

Proven experience collaborating on complex, disparate infrastructures in a global context.df-tc
