Description

CCCi has an opportunity for and Nuclear IT Project Manager (PM) to provide project management services for our local Energy client s Nuclear IT Project Management and Delivery Team here in the Charlotte area. PM will d irect the day to day activities of IT projects such as full lifecycle software development, package evaluation and implementation, business process analysis, business case development and hardware/infrastructure up-grades. PM will d evelop work break down structure based on defined scope and creating work schedules accordingly and create detailed project charter for managing scope and customer expectations. PM will establish cost estimates and project budgets, identify and manage project issues and risks, work with Support Manager to facilitate effective project transition to support and establish a working project team from a matrixed organization, motivating team members to accomplish set goals under stressful situations. PM will also manage all aspects of the project dynamics such as change and conflict, track and report status appropriately to various audiences and work effectively with the business to quickly learn the business, culture, and relationships.

We require a Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, 3+ years of experience of managing IT application implementation projects, and delivering results on schedule, within scope and within budget and 3+ years of experience using project scheduling tools such as MS Project, and estimating processes and tools. Candidate must possess a working knowledge of IT Solution Delivery Lifecycle process, demonstrate leadership skills by effectively leading project teams, displaying a high degree of consistency between communications and behavior, and upholding the corporation s Code of Business Ethics and demonstrate the capability of receiving general guidance related to overall objectives, critical issues, new concepts and policy matters and translating into specific project plans. Candidate must demonstrate ability to critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources and reconcile conflicts. Must be able to breakdown high-level information into details, build from low-level information to a more general understanding, distinguish presented user requests from the underlying true needs, and distinguish solution idea. Must demonstrate ability to effectively lead requirements elicitation workshops, be aware of team dynamics and how to effectively handle issues that may arise, have ability to gain team buy-in and support for decisions made and build consensus and have ability to help negotiate priorities and to resolve conflicts among project stakeholders. Must effectively assesses the risks and rewards of business opportunities and makes appropriate decisions that increase shareholder value and have excellent written and verbal English communication skills. Desired qualifications are that candidates have working knowledge of the Power Generation utility industry, working knowledge of Mercury s IT Governance tool and workflow, have demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and experience in managing large projects (> $1,000,000 budget).
